Making my living working in the sun is a big bonus to my job, but harmful for my skin. The more we learn about the damage the sun causes to our skin, the more we have to be protected. The most important pieces of sun protection gear are sun screen, sun glasses and a hat. My new favorite brand of sunscreen is Med3. I feel that Med3 is the best sunscreen for your face. Med3 is followed closely by Nuetrogena Ultimate Sport and Coppertone Sport. I use the Med3 on my face and the coppertone on my arms and legs. A hat is more of a personal choice, but you need to make sure it has a wide brim, and keeps the suns rays off of your head. When it comes to sun glasses it is only Maui Jim for me. I have three or four pair and wear them every day. Their lenses are the best and best and I have no problem playing golf while wearing my Maui Jim sun glasses. I was recently introduced to Med3 Sunscreen and am convinced that it is the best sunscreen for a golfer's face. Let me tell you my story. Barbara from Med3 wanted me to try their sunscreen and offered to send me some samples. I gave her my usual response. I am always willing to try something if it is free. I had heard of Med3 sunscreen, because many of the LPGA Tour players use the product. I visited their website, first to get the low down on the products benefits, and I have to say I was intrigued. Then I clicked through to their shopping cart to check out the price and, HOLY COW, was the g rated version of my response. I had sticker shock. How could they expect anyone to pay that much for sunscreen. Med3 sunscreen already had a negative in my book before I ever tried it.
However, the product finally arrived, and I received a very nice variety package. I received the regular white sunscreen and the tinted sunscreen, in the personal size, a three pack, and a nice supply of the pocket size. I was impressed by the package and amount they sent. This is the sign that a company is very confident in their product. I shared a few of the pocket size tubes with the Head Professional at my course, and I started using the sunscreen. Let me tell you, very quickly the thought of price went away, and the thought of how great this sunscreen is became prevalent. Med3 Sunscreen is without a doubt the best sunscreen I have ever used. It is not greasy, it lasts very long, a little bit goes a long way, it keeps the sun off my face, and it moisturizes as well. I used probably half as much Med3 as I do other brands, and it stays on my face a long time. I always apply sunscreen before I leave the house so it has a chance to dry before I start sweating. If you do this, one application will last the entire round. I liked the regular white cream, not the tinted. I understand the idea behind the tinted cream. It doesn't show white on your tan skin. But it got on the inside of my collar, and I didn't like that. Otherwise, it wasn't any different than the white.
